Kurdish poets and thinkers contributed significantly to the development of Sufi and philosophical literature in the region. Among them was أحمد خاني, author of the epic Mem û Zîn. His works reflected profound human values such as love and freedom. Kurdish literature forms an essential part of the cultural heritage of the East.
